Have You Passed
Your Prime?
The honest answer is no — but stagnation will convince you otherwise. Your most fruitful chapter isn't behind you. It's being built right now, in the willingness to keep becoming.

The Questions
Leaders Ask in Private
Over 30+ years in ministry, I've sat with enough leaders to know that the most capable men in the room are often carrying the quietest doubts.
"Have I passed my prime? Is my best contribution already behind me?"
The question no one says out loud
"I know what I'm capable of — but I'm afraid people will only see my past role and typecast me."
The fear beneath the résumé
"The church has gone digital, tech-driven, and I feel like I've been left behind."
The gap that grows in silence
"Why would someone hire me? What do I actually have to offer in this season?"
When comparison steals your vision

Matt and Kari
Matt and Kari Perkins were married in 2017 with their combined seven children standing by their side—a beautiful moment born from unimaginable loss. While their story wasn't one they would have chosen, they have witnessed God use their journey to help countless people move forward after significant life transitions. Their ministry is rooted in authentic experience, vulnerability, and a deep understanding that hope can emerge even from the darkest seasons of life.
Matt's late wife, Marybeth, was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer just months after their family moved from Orlando, Florida to Fresno, California. Despite aggressive treatment, Marybeth passed away in July of 2015, less than a year after their move. Around that same time, Kari's late husband, Eddie, was serving as a successful Children's Pastor at Northpointe Church in Fresno. In November 2015, Eddie was speaking during a vision Sunday about the church's new kids building when he collapsed while walking off the stage and passed away from an undiagnosed heart condition. Both Matt and Kari found themselves navigating the overwhelming wilderness of grief while caring for their children and trying to find a way forward.
Matt and Kari met while seeing the same counselor as they processed the loss of their spouses. In 2017, they married with Kari's five boys and Matt's two girls by their side, beginning a new chapter as a blended family of nine. In 2021, they founded Grief to Growth®, which now offers resources and support to individuals impacted by significant life transitions across the nation. In January 2024, they co-authored "The Grief to Growth Pathway: A Guide for Transforming Your Loss Into Renewed Purpose," which became a #1 New Release on Amazon. They have shared their story and message of hope in various settings, including marriage and blended family retreats, conferences, churches, and podcasts, always communicating with transparency and authenticity that connects deeply with audiences of all types.
